Rob Sobelman is the Global Head of Investigations at Goldman Sachs & Co. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, Rob served as an Assistant United States Attorney with the United States Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York for nine years, where he held supervisory positions including Co-Chief of the Public Corruption Unit and Co-Chief of the General Crimes Unit. Previously, he was an associate at Arnold & Porter LLP. Earlier in his career, he served as a law clerk for the Honorable Chester J. Straub on the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and for the Honorable Edward R. Korman on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York. Rob earned a BA in Political Science and History from Colgate University in 2008 and a JD from Brooklyn Law School in 2012.
