Mike is Investigations Counsel with Google's APAC Regulatory Affairs team. Arriving in Singapore in 2016, he worked for both Facebook (Meta) and Hewlett Packard Enterprise. Before 2016, Mike served as a federal prosecutor with the U.S. Department of Justice for over ten years – as a Trial Attorney in Washington, D.C., and an Assistant United States Attorney in Boston, Massachusetts – investigating and prosecuting child exploitation, human trafficking, and organized crime. He began his career as an Assistant State’s Attorney in Chicago, Illinois, and for seven years, prosecuted crimes, including those related to street violence and gang activity. Mike received a B.S. in Journalism from Boston University, and J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law.
