Lewis has extensive experience advising private equity firms, their portfolio companies, other companies and enterprises, C-suite officers and boards of directors on all aspects of complex commercial litigation, white collar defense and regulatory enforcement matters across a wide range of industries, including financial services, technology, energy, transportation and healthcare.

Lewis has appeared on behalf of his clients in the U.S. Supreme Court and federal and state trial and appellate courts around the country and has conducted investigations in Asia, Latin America, Africa and Europe.



In addition to his private practice experience and federal clerkship, Lewis spent a decade in executive-level, in-house counsel positions at two Fortune 50 global companies spanning the financial services, energy and technology sectors. In these leadership positions, he worked closely with boards of directors and regulatory agencies, while managing global compliance programs, high-stakes litigation, government and internal investigations and regulatory affairs.



Lewis’ in-house experience gives him a keen ability to identify and define his clients’ specific needs at the outset of each engagement. By working closely with his clients to gain a deep understanding of their business objectives, he designs legal strategies that are both appropriately risk-based and tailored to maximize efficiency, while minimizing the disruptions posed by litigation and regulatory challenges.

He also holds advanced industry certifications in the areas of anti-corruption compliance, anti-money laundering compliance, fintech compliance and cybersecurity risk management.
