Tom Sobocinski is a Partner at TDI, where he leads the firm’s Due Diligence &
Investigations practice, with a focus on global investigations, supply chain
integrity, and counterfeit enforcement.
He advises boards, executives, and counsel on high-stakes matters involving
regulatory risk, financial crime compliance, and cross-border investigations. Tom
leads multidisciplinary teams conducting enterprise-wide risk assessments, internal investigations, and
enhanced due diligence across global markets.
Tom has led complex, multi-jurisdictional investigations and compliance reviews for multinational
organizations, including enterprise-level assessments of anti-money laundering programs, regulatory
controls, and supply chain risk. His work includes evaluating counterfeit threats, conducting forensic
reviews, and designing frameworks to detect, prevent, and respond to illicit activity worldwide.
Prior to joining TDI, Tom spent more than 25 years with the FBI, where he held senior leadership roles
including Deputy Assistant Director of the International Operations Division, Special Agent in Charge of
one of the Bureau’s largest field offices, and Legal Attaché in multiple countries, including Egypt, the
United Kingdom, and Afghanistan. In these roles, he led complex global investigations and addressed
emerging risks related to transnational crime, counterfeit networks, and supply chain vulnerabilities.
Tom holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology and criminology from Purdue University and a master’s
degree in security studies from the US Naval Postgraduate School
