Joseph Kiula is a seasoned lawyer, anti-corruption specialist, and public prosecutor with more than 16 years of experience investigating and prosecuting complex fraud and corruption cases in Tanzania. Formerly a Principal Investigator, State Attorney and Public Prosecutor at the Prevention and Combating of Corruption Bureau (PCCB), he led and supported numerous high-profile investigations and prosecutions, including major cases involving senior government officials, ministers and permanent secretaries, such as the Escrow, ATCL, UDA and Gold Deal matters. He played a key role in the investigation strategy and prosecution of several landmark corruption cases that resulted in successful convictions. Joseph currently serves as Senior Manager, Risk, Fraud and Investigations at Equity Bank Tanzania. He holds an LLB (Hons) and an LLM from the University of Dar es Salaam and is a member of several professional organisations, including the International Association of Prosecutors (IAP), the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), ASIS International, the Middle East & Africa Compliance Association (MEACA), and the Association of Corporate Investigators.
