Michael Lamson has extensive experience representing companies and individuals in a range of cross-border disputes and investigations across Asia, Mainland Europe, the UK, and the US. Michael focuses his practice on financial crime related matters. He regularly advises clients on identifying and mitigating potential risks arising from U.S. sanctions and export control laws.

Based in Asia, Michael leads the U.S. sanctions practice in the region. He works on some of the most complex financial crime and geopolitical issues affecting clients across Asia, including India. His experience includes sensitive matters involving regulators and authorities across the globe.

Michael is qualified in the United States and Hong Kong SAR. He previously led global investigations for more than three years as in-house counsel for a global financial institution in London. Before moving in-house, Michael worked at a leading international law firm Washington, D.C., specialising in corporate investigations and white collar criminal defense matters.
