Alexandra Luchenko is a partner at Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP, based in the firm’s Vancouver office. Alexandra has significant experience working on behalf of private equity firms, financial institutions, aviation, mining, resource, health sciences and technology companies in white collar matters. She uses her knowledge as a Certified Fraud Examiner to investigate fraud and accounting irregularities and also assists regularly with whistleblower claims and litigation proximate to such issues. Alexandra helps guide clients during times of crisis by developing business-focused, outcome-driven legal solutions, whether through corporate governance solutions, investigations, court or regulatory matters. Due to the nature of her practice, she has considerable experience in cross-border mandates, acting as co-counsel with firms around the world. She has appeared before all levels of court in Canada as lead counsel, including the British Columbia Supreme Court, the British Columbia Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada. She has also appeared before a number of administrative tribunals, including the British Columbia Securities Commission, the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada and the Mutual Fund Dealers Association of Canada. Alexandra is recognized as one of the Top 100 Women in Litigation in Canada by Benchmark Litigation and as a leader in White-Collar Crime & Government Investigation, Litigation: Securities and Litigation: General Commercial by Chambers Canada. She is chair of the Vancouver office’s Pro Bono Committee and co-chair of its Student Committee.
