Masterclass: the art of the witness interviews
An interactive panel discussion on what leads to an effective interview. Discuss the preparation, skills, traps, cultural considerations and other nuances that can determine whether a meeting with a witness is a success or failure. The faculty will draw upon their real-life experiences to demonstrate an end-to-end interview, showcasing a good (or not) practice interview, what not to do and how to deal with unexpected challenges.
With opportunities for Q&A throughout, the discussion will establish practical takeaways for good witness interview preparation and execution.

GIR Academy Live: what would you do?
In this session our faculty will introduce a number of scenarios that can arise during the process of interviewing. The participants will work in groups to discuss how they’d approach the problem in question [after which two members will perform a short mock-interview].
A participant from each group will give feedback to the cohort on their tips from the exercise.
